I believe God exists. Throughout our life we bear so many feelings for humans, animals and nature around us.

We show compassion for poor and needy. We believe in power because of what we can sense. The feeling of purity and positivity comes from within.

There are many tales of God exists in different cultures and religions throughout the world. As a Hindu myself we believe in more than one God. My personal favourite is God Ganesha. He spreads wisdom and happiness.

God is male or female or any other form of life what matters is he has given us life. We need to keep ourselves content and help the needy.

The belief of GOD under the periphery of gender is entirely baseless. GOD is omnipresent and omnipotent. They are present in each micro and macro entity. In Hindu mythology, there is a concept of "ARDHANARESHWAR" i.e. which is enough to explain that the god does not discriminate on the basis of gender. They are present in all forms of gender known or unknown.

Good evening to all, first of all, I would like to thanks for giving me this opportunity to give my view so what is the male terms means it is nothing but one type of gender and the modern human being creates it but why it is applied to supersonic power that beyond human thinking if God is male or female then why they create a transgender form of a human if we ever think that God may be a transgender but no we can't compare the god to male-female or transgender they just our good partner that they always provide hopes to our every bad and good deed so our mindset makes some scripture different images and painting but in actual god is just a hope that we all need in our difficulty times thanks.

GOD is a word connected with divinity. Our perspective toward the word god may differ from person to person. When it comes to me GOD is nothing but a supernatural power that binds us all together. If we are asked to specify the gender it is necessary for us to know the behavior or the character of that thing. I strongly believe that there is some power beyond our human abilities it can be in any form like belief, faith, male or female. One can't specify the gender of the god with witnessing it. I can say god is like our friend if we have a friend we can share everything to him/her.

So they will help us in a certain way for us to come out of our stress so god is like that he cares like a father (male) get angry while we do a mistake (father) and he cares like mom when we got beaten by someone or heartbroken.

So he is like a friend nowadays we have both boys have a good girlfriend (like a sister) whom they can share. The girl has a good boyfriend (like a brother) they can share their problems.

Some friends would act like our father in a certain way and some friends act like a mom in a certain way.

Sometimes people in the hospital they have their friends as all for them so I can compare god to a BEST friend and like mom and dad character.

I think, we can not decide the gender of God. God is invisible so we don't know that is God male or female. We see Statue or images in our surrounding which is not actually the god, they are only the good man or women. On the basis of their work we make them a God. According to me, its just the matter of belief. Some God doesn't exist and for some God is everything. In the same way, for some God is male and for some God is female. Thus there is no one to prove the gender of God. If we consider the holy book Ramayana, we refer Lord Ram and Goddess Sita and thus according to this the gender of God is both male and female. But if we refer the holy books, Quran and Bible, we refer to Allah and Jesus. Thus this entire topic depends on the belief of people. I respect the views given by everyone and I went through all the views given by our friends but many are telling that "according to my opinion GOD is like this" but my question is that if we haven't seen the GOD then how can we say that GOD is like this.

Just like an example " if we want to know the value of 'g (gravitational constant) ' then either we can go to any physics teacher and ask them or we can do is that we can refer any authorised book of physics we can know the value of 'g'.

Similarly, if we want to know about GOD then either we can ask to that person who had seen GOD or we can refer the books about GOD (like Bhagavad Gita, Bible, Quran, Vedas etc). So, in the Vedic scriptures, GOD is addressed as ADIPURUSA, ADIDEVA (ref. Braham Samhita (5.1) Bhagavad Gita (11.38)).

So, here GOD is addressed as Purusa that means GOD is male.

I think god resides in our beliefs. God is only an imagination of humans. God is present everywhere and in everything, it doesn't have any shape. So, saying that "God is male" cannot be considered. If I talk according to different religions different religions believe in different God. Like Hindu believe in Durga, Krishna, Shankar, etc.

Muslims believe in Allah, Christians believe in Jesus. So we can not decide that God is male or female.

Well, in my opinion, this theory of God being male is baseless. Some people believe in one God which may be Lord Shiva, Vishnu, Krishna, ram etc, who are all male and some people have faith in goddess Lakshmi, Kaali, Saraswati etc. It varies from person to person. Let's take an example:.

In our Indian culture, we say that guests should be treated as god's or are equal to god so if I have to say I have some male as a guest at my place then God is male and if I say I have a female as a guest at my place then I would say God is female, this proves that when the Indian culture only can't stick to one God why should we feel that God is male!

Hi! What I feel is that God is one who gives unconditionally it doesn't matter much whether had is a male or female. He is perfect for each relation which a human think. As a male he teaches courage strength acceptance tolerance and as a female god teaches love bliss purity concern. We just have to make a good relationship with God and use the qualities which God has given both feminine and masculine qualities to make our life better and full of bliss.

In my point of views god is just live in our heart and we can share and says all problem with the god i.e : heart according to me our god is our parents who just complete our all wishes and they overcome us with the problems and they fight with everyone for us when anybody hurt their children. And parents who worried for their child and who give birth to us. We can't see god on the earth but they have existence. If we want to watch god and if we want to know the gender of God ! you will have to do nothing for it just look towards your parents.

We can't divide our god in Muslim they concern that their god is ALLAH and in Hindu people they concern Laxmi, shiv, lord Krishna. , . It's just division of god. Your real god is your parents who just make you successful in your life.

My conclusion is that god can't present on the earth for the individually person for their wishes and for their problems. That's why god make parents in their second form. Just watch towards your parents they are your real god.

Only a woman can give birth to a new life so in that point of view GOD could be female. When we are in danger or in a bad environment we pray for help to GOD. Where the qualities of mother are

God is neither a son or daughter of anyone and also not a father or mother of anyone. All the things happen in world by God. This is our opinion, our perception we assume God as it's gender. But my point of view, God is excited in each and everyone belief. The most common example of God is in form of our guardian. They always good for their children. Real god in real world is our parents. But if we go through existence on the behalf of their gender this will be not determined. God is a natural power to which people need to sustain their life's in very difficult condition. Theirs believe in god really exist its universal power which will help to live their life. I tried to believe that there is a god who created each one of us in his own image and likeness, loves us very much and keeps a close eye on things. I really tried to believe that, but I gotta tell you, the longer you live, the more you look around, the more you realize. Something is F--KED UP. Something is WRONG here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption. Something is definitely wrong. This is NOT good work. If this is the best god can do, I am NOT impressed. Results like these do not belong on the resume of a supreme being. This is the kind of shit you'd expect from an office temp with a bad attitude. And just between you and me, in any decently-run universe, this guy would have been out on his all-powerful ass a long time ago.

We know that someone has created a World, that someone we say is GOD. We all say that God is present everywhere in the air, in water, in trees, in animals. If we say God is male or female how we are going to determine the gender of water, trees etc. God is someone who doesn't own any religion, any caste, any Gender etc. God is a creator of all, God comes to us in that form, which forms we think, which form which we imagine. God is not a materialistic as our body does. So according to me, God is neither of any Gender.

GOD is created by human beings. We created God as male and female. We created them to control the weaker ones with fear. We created them to because we never wanted to die and hoped for eternity. And we attributed them with all ideal qualities. Now there are millions of them. And now we are praying to our own creation. How ironic?

Wow, many of you having stand as the gender of God. Do we really need to know the gender of God? I don't think so as we do really need the gender of God. We, you, everything which shows some of positive and good signs to us we supposed it as God, it can be any thing like I or You or tree or the nature or this earth. Only matters is what you think of it and in which manner do you take it. And really we don't seen God and its good because if anyone seen it would be again a riot in between the religion. So just leave this that what is gender of God. Need to believe in.

I think this is a silly topic. In my point of view, we have differentiated god as male and female to convince everyone that no gender is greater than other. Also, no god is there for real, we believe that a greater one is there who would punish if any wrong is done. But we must know that there is a greater power above us, which we believe as a god.

God is nature. As we all know, earlier people used to worship fire as a god because they feared that it would destroy if they used to touch that. As time went people themselves developed statues of god and started worshiping.

So we can't say god as male or female.

In my opinion, god is in everyone and everything, every living and nonliving things. God does not have any particular appearance or gender, it totally depends on how we visualize, how we picture, how we worship. India is the best example for that. We worship stones (Shiv Linga) , rivers (Ganga) , animals (cow) and males and females respectively.

So gods exist but in our mind and in our faith.

Today I would like to discuss what is God ? or who is God. God is that supernatural element who protects us from negative energies and who is still helping us. But can we say who is God ? I do not think so. God is not a male or female and it does not belong to any gender. We made religions and we are still doing worships. But we do not know who is God ? God does not belong to any religion. It is a power or it lives in our souls. Just we have some faith in god because there must be some energy which will protect us from bad energies. God is not just male or female, God is the animal, plants, books, etc. God is present in everyone. God is the inner voice within us that guides us, helps us differentiate right from wrong. In my point of view, God is neither male nor female. No one has seen god. Guru Nanak, Goddess Durga all are agents of god. God is just a faith. When we are happy we used to thanks god, but if we are sad we used to blame god. It is our faith that matters. In my view everyone who is doing good deeds, helping others is an agent of god.

Myself Joy Mukherjee, others have other opinion, I have my own.

According to me, GOD is nothing but a positive energy in our mind, that reflects when we smell of win, joy, it has no gender, it doesn't leave in temple or mosque or any worship places, it leaves in our mind. It leaves in our heart. Just when we think about it, it boosted up the confidence level or send a green signal to our mind, that we can do it.

Its nothing but our thought. And in every religion the shape, structure and worship process is different, but the subject of doing those is same. Gods are same. And it has no gender. Just to make it visible supernatural empower we defined them in a simple manner by giving the name.

My answer for this question was, Yes the God is male for whom they believes as like, and also the god is a female too who believes as like, and god is also a form of light who those believes like that, as a conclusion you come to know that the god is just a belief.

According to every human beings thought, tt is the unknown answer of a hypothetical question, someone giving the value for that unknown as X (Hindu god) and someone as Y (Christian god) and someone as Z (Muslim god) and etc. But their believes was true in another point of view. Keep following the Bhagavat Gita, Bible, Quran etc. Just follow. Now the god is unknown true.
